Rebar Rust Stain Repair

A rebar stain in a swimming pool or spa is a serious issue. Rusting rebar will continue to corrode within the pool structure until all corrosion is removed. Although the bleed through stain may be small in size, the corrosion beneath the plaster (in the gunite) is always larger in scale (see photos for examples).
Left untreated, rusted rebar will eventually rust the entire pool. Rebar stains occur in swimming pools and spas when the rebar is not properly encapsulated with Gunite (or Shotcrete). Lack of gunite coverage over rebar and/or poor workmanship work are common causes of rebar corrosion. We will be glad to come out and take a look before things get worse.

Deck Repair and Coating

Green Pool Service

Proper chemical balance and sanitizer residuals will prevent many opportunities for algae to bloom. If your pool just turned green and you can still see the bottom of the pool, we may be able to "super shock" the pool. Otherwise a drain clean may be required.

Chlorine /Acid Washing

Also called a drain and clean, a chlorine wash and possibly an acid wash becomes necessary if the pool has turned into the "black lagoon". This may occur if the winterizing process is not done properly, or if the pool has been stagnant for a period of time so that algae has taken over. If you notice scaly, man-phibian creatures splashing around out back, it's probably time to drain & clean.
